Name: Kevin Dashin (Kevin means handsome child)
Species:
Myers-Brigg Type: ESFP (AHHAHA! perfect song...Through the Window by REO Speedwagon)
Age: 15
Physical Description: average, well built, but not stocky
Hair: golden-orange with a red streak(dyed)
Eyes: emerald green
Personality: Kevin is a very devoted person, especially if he falls in love (or thinks he has). If he does "fall in love" (or lust) he tends to be entirely monogamous. He tends to hang out with a crowd out of habit as much as anything else. He hates having people judge him by his all-black clothing, skips school sometimes with his friend, and generally keeps his parents oblivious to such activities as much as he can. He's been known to try some *cough* illegal things, mostly under the influence of his friend Devin. He doesn't mind being the hero and he doesn't mind being the freak, but he also has a high temper and quick fists.
History: Here's where it gets a bit more interesting.
Kevin and Devin live very close to each other, close enough that they went to the same grade school, middle school, and high school, and can walk to each other's houses without too much trouble. However, Kevin's family is fairly wealthy and live on the "good" side of town, and Devin lives in a much smaller house with his addict mother on the "bad" side of town. They became quick friends because of circumstance and similar personalities, and through the years Devin was Kevin's only consistent friend, and vice versa. In fact, this worried Kevin's parents often not because they didn't like Devin (who, if they had known better, they certainly would not have trusted) because because Kevin only had ONE friend. This didn't change until the beginning of high school, when a girl moved into town who caught Kevin's eye. Around that time, the two best friends also started looking more sociable by hanging around a tough crowd at school, but really noone in that crowd classified as more than an acquaintance for either of the boys. The "tough crowd" was the perfect conduit for illegal substances and activities, which Devin seemed to enjoy more and more. Kevin wasn't sure what he thought of that, although he joined Devin in many of those activities often enough, but he also started spending more time with his new-found love. The two of them got fairly intimate fairly quickly and the three would occasionally hang out together, which actually made Devin a little jealous.
Now, while Kevin had no problem showing off his girl friend to his parents, she insisted that if her own parents found out that she was seeing anyone... Well, she didn't elaborate at first, but Kevin obliged her anyway. In fact, when random people at school suddenly picked up on their affections, Kevin staged a kiss with his best friend and made sure that a student known as a big gossip saw it. Devin was glad to help in any mischief after assuring Kevin numermous times that he was anything but gay (and no one would say differently if they knew anything about his promiscuous sexual life), and even went to far as to continue the farce by liberal use of verbal innuendo, hand-holding, and winking in front of others. Luckily, the tough crowd they were in weren't interested in kicking their ass over sexual orientation, but that was the least of Kevin's worries. The staging worked and the rumors spread-- but they spread not only through the school but to Kevin's house (if it spread to Devin's, his mother didn't care). Suddenly Kevin's well-to-do parents saw his long time "best friend" relationship in a different light, and approached Kevin to talk about it, intending to say something along the lines of "we don't agree with you, but we still love you." Kevin would have none of it. As soon as he realized that his father was taking the rumors seriously he stormed out of the house and headed for his girl friend's. The fact that his father would even consider such a ridiculous idea (in his opinion) almost brought him to blows with his dad before he got out of there and unto the streets. After cooling off enough to see straight, he spent the night with his girl friend.
Maybe it was a subconscious need to "prove" just how much he liked women, but Kevin decided to hell with propriety, he would sleep with his girl friend if he wanted. Well, and of course, if she wanted. Sure, they had danced the line before, but never quite crossed it. There was only one problem with that idea-- his girl friend wasn't exactly the most human female he could have fallen for. She was a Toreador (vampire) who had taken a fancy for Kevin and keeping him in the dark, so to speak. Her reasoning was something along the lines of "he's cute" which didn't confuse Kevin quite as much as her elegant explanation of vampires and how she might go about changing him into one, now that he knew what she was.
