I Swear- it's Supposed to be a Horse! I started a puzzle and watched it change From one piece to another the picture raged To match the box as it described And piece by piece, for this I tried. It started as a horse, I swear! You see the box as it sits there In its dim-lit corner, defracting light And mocking me with its polished sight It laughed as it watched the pieces match But they hardly matched the box I had They took their own shape and framed their own way Not caring what I had to say And that's alright I guess- I put it there But everytime I look at it, I stare You don't see it- you see a horse? Don't lie to me, I know its form! You should look harder before you speak Dont you see a building? Or a mountain peak? Don't look at me like I'm off the wall Just admit it- you don't understand me at all! I stare for a moment when I dare But you don't see, you just stare. ~Ketlin Narris, Jan 14, 2002
