I tend to write a combination of fantasy and sci-fi. Most of my works focus on basic human nature, with a secondary focus on eliciting in the reader a certain emotional response. When I first started thinking about writing, my stories were generally futuristic or sci-fi, but the influence of my friends (who have always encouraged my writing) and my father (who always has a book to recommend) have expanded my scope and pushed me more towards fantasy. I've read both sci-fi and fantasy series that awed me at their style or inventiveness, but mostly I strive to create my own worlds, as my favorite writers (Tolkien, C.S.Lewis, and Steven R. Donaldson to name a few) always have. And so, I hope that you find in these works inspiring, realistic characters, fantastic stories, and intricate, beautiful worlds-- but most of all, I hope that you can relate to them from the depths of your heart.
