Realization Life is like a pile of sand lying in the palm of your hand You must hold it tightly to prevent it from slipping between your fingers If you loosen your grip it will slip between your fingers grain by grain Until you realize that you have hardly anything left Then you know that the only way to get back what you once had Is to pick it up grain by grain Wile holding tighter to what you have left To make sure not to lose what little you have left There are two types of people Those who come along and clamp their hand over yours To keep the wind from blowing away the sand But all they do is force it down through the cracks between your fingers Then there are the ones who come along and gently hold their hand under yours Helping you to hold on to what you have left You are the only one who can truly pick up the fallen grains But to have those who will gently hold up the sand with you Will make the journey worthwhile Jason Roark
