But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, by the Spirit of the Lord. 2 Corinthians 3:18

How decisions are made about adding sites to the
Transforming Church Webring

Introduction

In order to maintain the integrity of the ring's theme, the following 'rules' provide for handling queued submissions to join the webring.  The rules apply both to sites that enter the queue and to sites that members propose to be invited to join the webring.

Rules

1) When a new site is entered in the queue the ringmaster will be notified automatically.  The ringmaster will in turn email everybody who has a site linked to the ring to ask for the new site to be checked for suitability. If any one on the ring has a site that they propose to be invited to join the ring, they can email the ringmaster who will contact everyone on the webring list to allow all ring members to check the site.

2) Site owners will be required to reply to all ring members if they object, within a specified period - currently this is five days from when they are notified of the new site's URL - but replies will ONLY be required if site owners consider the site is NOT suitable for addition to the ring.

3) Site owners will need to indicate their REASON for the site being considered unsuitable, with appropriate reference to the guidelines on the Transforming Church Homepage. They will need to indicate how they believe the conditions are not met, with appropriate Scriptural references or other evidence if it would appear to you that the site or persons connected with the site are in error.

4) Site owners will also need to indicate if they think the homepage GUIDELINES need expansion or revision as a result of the particular circumstances surrounding a site in the queue.

5) The ringmaster will circulate all responses about the site to all webring members.

6) If any objections have been received, and it is clear that all objections have been sufficiently well discussed, all site owners may then vote on whether the site will be accepted or not.  No response within the given time period for reply on voting (normally 24 hours), will be taken as an affirmative vote. A vote will ONLY be held if there is at least one objection.

7) The ringmaster will advise all ring members of the result of the vote.

8) If the vote is unanimous, or a vote was not held because no objections were received, the applicant will be added to the ring (provided the html code fragment has been added to their site correctly) and they will be welcomed into the ring.

8) This system will apply until such time as it is no longer workable (possibly because of the number of sites on the ring), at which point all ring members will be asked to consider options for the future.

The last thing any site owner wants is for the integrity of their website to be weakened by a site linked to theirs through the ring.
